2. All pick sheets and money must be in no later than Friday immediately prior to Fight Night.
3. All participants must confirm their email by sending their pick sheet submission confirmation to ufc@live.ca no later than Friday at 8:00pm to have their submissions considered a valid entry.
4. All picks must be complete. Incomplete picks will not be accepted.
5. Changes to picks for pick sheets submitted early in the week will be accepted via email up to the Friday immediately before Fight Night @ 8:00pm. Any changes received at 8:01pm or later will not be accepted.
6. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure that their picks are accurate on the spreadsheet that will be available for their review after 8:01pm on Friday immediately prior to Fight Night.
7. Winner(s) of the pool will be paid out on the Monday (or sooner if I see you) immediately after Fight Night.
8. In the event of a tie the winners will split the pot.
The Way This Works:
I will hand out pick sheets at the beginning of the week. You will have until Friday to fill out these sheets, hand in your sheets WITH your money and send me an email ufc@live.ca. This email is important, as I will be putting everyone’s picks into an excel spreadsheet and emailing it to everyone. This ensures complete visibility into all submitted picks prior to the fight, proving that the pool is not fixed: each participant will have the same information. I will also be able to send out a mass email and let everyone know what the points worked out to be and who the final winner(s) ended up being.
Scoring System:
You will be picking in 3 categories: Winner – Round – Type of Win
1. Winner (2 points) Correctly pick the winner of the fight
2. Round (1 point) Correctly pick the round that the fight is going to end
3. Type of Win (1 point) Correctly picking one of the following:
a. TKO
b. KO
c. Submission
d. Decision.
The main difference in this pool from the previous pools is that in the past you were able to gain points for picking the round and type of wins even if the winner was picked wrong. In this pool if you pick the winner incorrectly, Round and Type of Win points are zero.
